Have A Seat

Spotted while driving down Shoal Creek Boulevard.

I didn't have my camera on me.

So we got home.

I got the polaroid.

Got in my car.

And went back to Shoal Creek Blvd to get the shot.

Film was still cold when I put it in the camera - not sure if that had anything to do with the tones.

Days are grey and rainy because of a tropical storm named Bill.

Can't say that I'm complaining.

Keeps the temperatures a little lower.

Not much else to say really.

Work is busy and I'm pooped.

Just wanted to document this cool ass chair sitting in a field of wildflowers.

Made my day.

After the Storm

leftover rain drops welcomed Tuesday morning.

after 4 1/2 inches of rain in under three hours...

first day  back to work after our trip to Costa Rica.

conquering the "back to reality scramble."

three cups of coffee.

a visit to the acupuncturist.

and lots of puppy love breaks.

bonus:  sitting on the patio with my Sunshine at Teo with coffee and oreo gelato.

Prelude to a Storm

Outside, the rain is softly falling, the last drops of a storm from earlier this evening.  A spur of the moment walk to the park gave witness to ominous clouds rolling in and low growls of thunder trembling the earth beneath our feet.  A shift in the wind and you could feel the sky preparing to lose control - air thick as molasses, scents of damp soil, underbrush and wildflowers.  Even though we were far into the open fields, the clouds hung low, heavy and cumbersome.  With each step the darkness followed closely at our heels, the wind picking up speed, our pace hastening, making our way back home before the storm.
